Terms & Conditions

Effective and last updated: October 25, 2026

The terms for your data-removal service, your subscription, and the people you protect.

1. Your agreement with us

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of WipeMyFootprint.com, our customer portal, and our personal-information removal and monitoring services (together, the Services). ‘WipeMyFootprint,’ ‘we,’ ‘us,’ and ‘our’ refer to the business operating WipeMyFootprint.com. ‘You’ means the account holder. By checking the agreement box during account creation, you confirm you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Keep a copy for your records.

These Terms do not retroactively reduce rights, refunds, or commitments disclosed when you paid. Any mandatory consumer rights remain in effect. If you paid but do not wish to accept these Terms, contact support@wipemyfootprint.com before completing onboarding so we can help with cancellation and any available refund.

2. Eligibility, household members, and account security

The account holder must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. You must provide accurate information, keep it current, and protect your password. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account, but not for conduct for which applicable law makes us responsible.

Only submit another person's information with their informed permission or lawful authority. For a child, you must be their parent or legal guardian, or have the guardian's lawful authorization. Household members are protected under the owner's subscription, not separate accounts; the number of people and included services are those shown for your purchased plan. We may request reasonable proof of authority before processing a request.

3. Authorization to perform removals

You authorize us to act as your limited agent to identify your listings, submit opt-out, deletion, suppression, and related privacy requests to covered data brokers and people-search sites, communicate about those requests, and check their status. This authorization extends to household members for whom you have permission or lawful authority. It is limited to providing the Services and does not give us general authority over your affairs.

Some sites require identity verification, a signed authorization, or action directly from you. You agree to reasonably cooperate. We submit the minimum identifying information reasonably required for a removal request, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may revoke this authorization by contacting support; revocation may prevent us from continuing removals and does not by itself cancel recurring billing. Use the portal or contact support to cancel your subscription.

4. What the Services cover—and what they cannot guarantee

We provide the broker-removal, monitoring, custom-request, and reporting features included in the plan you purchase. Your order and the plan description at purchase determine your coverage, frequency, and limits. A free scan is a preliminary assessment, not a complete search of the internet or a paid removal service. Completing identity onboarding and any required verification is necessary for us to identify and act on your listings accurately.

Data brokers are independent third parties. Their processes, records, eligibility rules, and response times can change. We do not control them and cannot guarantee every listing will be found, every request will be accepted, a specific completion date, or permanent removal. Information can reappear; monitoring and repeat requests address this within your plan's scope. Where coverage changes materially, we will notify affected customers and explain their options.

The Services are not a guarantee against spam calls, robocalls, stalking, fraud, identity theft, or other harm. They do not erase official public records, all search results, news articles, social media posts, or information outside supported removal processes. Custom requests are subject to the applicable plan and the site's lawful removal process. We do not provide legal advice, credit monitoring, insurance, or emergency assistance.

5. Subscription billing and automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically on the monthly or annual billing schedule disclosed at checkout until canceled. Annual plans are charged for the full year, even when an equivalent monthly price is displayed. You authorize our payment provider, Stripe, to charge your selected payment method for the disclosed subscription amount and applicable taxes each renewal. Your checkout confirmation identifies your plan, price, currency, and billing interval.

Discount eligibility, duration, and restrictions are those disclosed with the offer and at checkout; a promotional price does not change the renewal schedule. We will provide advance notice of price changes as required by law, and any changed price applies prospectively. You can cancel before the change takes effect. Failed or disputed payments may result in a pause after any legally required notice; contact support to resolve a billing error.

6. Cancellation and plan changes

You may cancel at any time through the billing section of your customer portal. If the portal is unavailable or a cancellation control does not work, email support@wipemyfootprint.com for help. Cancellation stops future renewals; protection continues through the end of the paid billing period unless you request earlier termination or a refund ends the service. Cancel before your next renewal to avoid that renewal charge.

Changing plans may affect the number of protected people, included services, and charges. Any applicable prorated amount or new billing schedule will be disclosed before you confirm a change. Removing a household member, deleting information, or revoking removal authority does not automatically cancel the subscription.

7. Our 30-day money-back guarantee

Every plan includes our advertised 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, email support@wipemyfootprint.com within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund that purchase in full, no questions asked. Refunds are returned through the original payment method; processing times depend on Stripe and your financial institution.

Outside this guarantee, payments for a billing period already started are generally non-refundable and cancellation does not normally create a prorated refund. This does not limit refunds required by law, remedies for a billing error, or a specific refund commitment we made to you. Nothing in these Terms waives an applicable statutory cancellation or withdrawal right.

8. Privacy and your information

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, retain, and delete personal information, including limited disclosures needed for removal requests and optional advertising measurement. We never sell your personal information. Agreeing to these Terms is not consent to optional advertising cookies or marketing emails; those choices are managed separately.

You retain your rights in the information you provide. You grant us only the permission needed to process it for the Services, support, security, and legal obligations described in the Privacy Policy. You can request access, correction, or deletion as described there. Identity details must not be submitted about someone you are not authorized to represent.

Read the Privacy Policy

9. Acceptable use

Do not use the Services to impersonate someone, submit false or unauthorized requests, infringe another person's rights, break the law, distribute malware, bypass access controls, disrupt the website, or extract customer information. Do not resell the Services or access another customer's account without authorization. We may reject requests that appear fraudulent, unlawful, or outside the purchased plan.

10. Website, reports, and intellectual property

Our branding, website content, software, and report formats belong to us or our licensors. During your subscription, you may use the portal and download your own reports for personal purposes. You may share your own reports with your authorized advisers, but may not resell our materials, copy the website commercially, or imply our endorsement. This provision does not claim ownership of your personal information or limit uses permitted by law.

11. Service availability and suspension

We take reasonable steps to operate the Services, but maintenance, third-party outages, security incidents, and events beyond our reasonable control can cause interruptions. We may temporarily restrict access to protect customers or investigate suspected misuse. Where reasonable and legally required, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

We may terminate service for material violations of these Terms or where providing it would be unlawful. Suspension or termination does not excuse charges lawfully incurred, but we will not retain payment for unprovided service where a refund is required by law. Our contractual limitations do not excuse our own legal obligations.

12. Disclaimers

Except for express commitments in your order, our money-back guarantee, and rights required by law, the Services are provided on an ‘as available’ basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted access or complete elimination of online exposure. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply only to the extent allowed.

13. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, arising from these Terms or the Services. Our total liability for claims arising from the Services will not exceed the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, liability for death or personal injury where exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. They do not eliminate your entitlement to an applicable refund or mandatory consumer remedy. Where local law prohibits a limitation, that law controls.

14. Third-party claims caused by misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonable losses and costs arising from third-party claims directly caused by your knowing submission of unauthorized information, unlawful use, or material violation of these Terms. This does not cover claims caused by our own conduct. We will promptly notify you of a covered claim, reasonably cooperate, and will not agree to a settlement imposing obligations on you without your consent.

15. Governing law and resolving concerns

Please contact support@wipemyfootprint.com first so we can try to resolve a concern. These Terms are governed by Texas law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence apply. Subject to those protections, disputes may be brought in the state or federal courts serving Travis County, Texas. Nothing here prevents an eligible small-claims action or requires you to waive a legally protected right to sue in your home jurisdiction. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.

16. Changes and general provisions

We may update these Terms prospectively and will post the updated version and effective date here. For material changes affecting existing subscriptions, we will provide reasonable advance notice and obtain renewed agreement where required by law; continued use alone does not replace consent when consent is legally required. Changes do not retroactively alter an existing claim or take away a commitment made at purchase.

These Terms, your order, the applicable plan description, and our Privacy Policy form the agreement for the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may transfer the agreement with a business reorganization or sale only subject to applicable law and privacy obligations. You may not transfer your account to another person without our consent.
